To our friends at Adkins Pet Center:
Two really is better than one! Kayla is settling in to her new home and slowly beginning to come out of her shell. She and Davis appear to love each other, and we frequently look out to find them racing around the back yard, tails wagging, taking turns chasing each other. (Even with all that exercise, she's still gaining some much needed weight.) Kayla is afraid less often now, and she's started licking our hands and my face if we're patient and sit still long enough. She is the sweetest dog, and Davis seems thrilled to have a playmate.
I cannot recommend Adkins dogs (and adopting rescues in general) highly enough. The joy of watching Davis go from frightened and shy a year ago to an outgoing, happy dog today is incredible. Kayla is in the very first stage of that journey, and we look forward to seeing her become a confident dog, as well.
