Just wanted to report that all went well with Belle's introduction into the family last night. She could not have done better or been more accepted. She had a bath (since there was no incision made yesterday), we worked on the mats in her fur, she played, ate, and then she slept with my daughter under the covers until she got too hot then got out and climbed into her little doggy bed at the foot of the bed and slept the rest of the night. Not one accident in the house. All the dogs act like they have been together forever.
She is going to our vet today. We want to get her established there, then to PetSmart for a new collar and to pick up another doggy bed that fits her better. She is at home today with my husband and my daughter's fiancee who are working on the new sunroom so she will have attention all day. The only concern I have now is that it seems my daughter and her fiancee have taken to her so well they will probably want to take her with them when they get married. The good thing is their house is only 2 miles away. If they do, you will probably hear from me again, looking for another little misfit who needs a home.
