Donations are always appreciated!!
Since our center opened in March 2007, we have found new homes for almost 300 dogs and cats. Currently we have 70 more who are still waiting to be adopted. We're dedicated to doing whatever it takes to reach our goal of "No More Homeless Pets" ... but it's going to be a very expensive and time consuming journey. We need your help!!
The monetary donations we receive are used to fund not only the day to day care of the animals currently housed in our facility but also to fund our community outreach programs, including Smokey's Fund and the Lincolnton Animal Hospital Satellite Practice.
Smokey's Fund was established in honor of Mark & Janet's beloved dog who was killed by a speeding driver. Donations made to this program are used to help local dogs and cats in need of emergency vet care.
We hope that our work with the Lincolnton Animal Hospital Satellite Practice Spay/Neuter Clinic will help to greatly reduce the number of homeless pets in our area. Since we opened, we have assisted in the spay/neuter of many local animals. For every spay/neuter procedure performed, thousands of animals are spared a terrifying, tragic and often brief life on the streets.
The non-monetary donations we receive are also appreciated! Many of our supporters have donated blankets, Kuranda dog beds, litter boxes, leashes, collars, toys, pet food and more. If you are interested in donating any supplies, please contact Jolene: JoHandysides@adkinspetcenter.com.
We love our Volunteers!!
If you are unable to make a monetary donation, donate your time! No matter how much love and playtime we give to our pets, it's never enough. We can always use volunteers who would like to spend time with our pets. We especially need your support at our adoption fairs!
